Developing Apprenticeship Standards and Work Processes
About
New occupations are being developed into apprenticeship programs all the time, and often by multiple organizations simultaneously. While all apprenticeship programs have their own unique requirements, there is no reason every sponsor should start from scratch. This page compiles resources including occupational frameworks and existing standards and work processes to provide the building blocks needed to streamline and standardize the process of developing a Registered Apprenticeship Program.
The Registered Apprenticeship Occupations and Standards Center of Excellence
Funded by the U.S. Department of Labor (USDOL), the Registered Apprenticeship Occupations and Standards Center of Excellence is managed by the Urban Institute and aims to build a “gold standard” infrastructure of occupational frameworks, including work processes and related instruction outlines, as well as to compile existing standards from all over the country into one easy-to-search library.

Healthcare Career Advancement Program (H-CAP) National Library
The H-CAP clearinghouse includes resources from current Registered Apprenticeship Programs in the healthcare sector. The library is organized by occupation and includes on-the-job learning outlines, classroom instruction outlines, and other relevant information.
USDOL Work Processes Dropbox
The Work Processes Dropbox is an online repository created by USDOL that includes work process schedules for apprenticeable occupations. Resources in this repository are organized by occupation and are searchable by keyword.
