Registered apprenticeship grant recipients will strengthen their pre-apprenticeship programs by applying the information shared during this event. They will gain a better understanding of meaningful program design, effective data collection, quality, use, and reporting.

While maintaining alignment with the federal definition of pre-apprenticeship, presenters will:
- Explore how pre-apprenticeship programs support pathways into registered apprenticeship.
- Explain how pre-apprenticeship programs are used as work experience or “career shopping”.
- Outline the importance of collecting and reporting accurate, high-quality data.
- Offer reporting instructions for common pre-apprenticeship program designs.
- Explain how to report transitions from pre-apprenticeship to registered apprenticeship.
Registered apprenticeship grantees will benefit from the information shared during this event. However, the Employment and Training Administration encourages others workforce professionals to attend as more emphasis is being placed on registered apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship as integral components of workforce development.
